About

About

A Cold Embrace is a tribute to the beauty that lies within the cold and the power of the human connection with the elements.

Featuring Britain’s most storied mountaineer, Sir Chris Bonington, this short film, presented by Berghaus and directed by Casa Colombo, takes us on a journey through high altitude environments and sub-zero temperatures, sharing extraordinary accounts of Sir Chris Bonington’s life — a life dedicated to outdoor exploration.

Featuring never-before-seen archival footage from Sir Chris Bonington’s own archives, this film gives an insight into what it feels like to experience some of the coldest and most beautiful places in the world most of us only dream of seeing.
